Ministries
St. Anne's encourages an active spiritual life for all its
members. St. Anne's has an expansive ministry program that
seeks to serve the needs of congregation while remaining part
of a greater community that surrounds us.
Our ministry even extends to pets of the congregation.
Each Fall, St. Anne's furrier friends get to attend a Pet
Blessing held on the lawn. It is a wonderful time to
celebrate the importance of all God's creatures (and creation)
in our lives.
This short list of ministries is not holistic, but is
intended to give a brief overview of some the more active and
involved outreach.

Development Goal
Youth Ministry:
St. Anne's encourages an active spiritual life for all its
members. The spiritual development of youth, from Godly Play
to Teen Mission Trips, is a priority of the congregation.
In addition to the activities centered around our Ankeny
church, St. Anne's has additional youth-focused ministries to
homeless teens in the Des Moines area and
Our Little Roses
Orphanage in Honduras.

Healing Ministry:
The healing miracles of Jesus are the
bedrock for our belief in spiritual and physical healing
ministry. Our congregation supports an active prayer
ministry to older adults at the Des Moines Jewish Life
Center and Ankeny's Millpond Retirement and Health Center. We maintain a robust
prayer ministry.
Members of the clergy and congregation of St.
Anne's are also active in the
Order of St. Luke
the Physician (OSL), an
interdenominational organization dedicated to the healing of
body, mind and spirit.
Music
Ministry:
Musical gifts of the congregation are
recognized weekly at the 10:30am Sunday Service and throughout
the year during special occasions.

International Family:
The international flavor of St. Anne's takes many forms.
It may be a Sudanese music one Sunday service or traditional
foods from the Philippines for a small group. We welcome
all to worship together as part of our family.
