The Rev. Robert A. Kem

Rector of St. Anne’s
I was called as the Rector at St. Anne’s eight years ago on March 2, 2002. Prior to St. Anne’s, I served as Rector of St. Andrew’s Omaha for 12 years and an Associate in Family and Youth Ministry in Scottsdale, Arizona. My wife is Deborah and I have two adult children, Andrew and Anja. We have two grandchildren:  Annika and Miles.

My primary calling is to provide oversight of our many multi-cultural families and ministries that we currently share at St. Anne’s. There is great excitement and joy coming together as one family. These ministries include Administration, Worship Liturgy, Music, Communication, Christian Formation for Adults and Youth, Parish Life, Outreach and Health Ministries. As Rector, I am also the one who is Pastor to the St. Anne’s family during pastoral emergencies as they arise.

My primary role is to help identify, raise up, and encourage members to exercise their God given talents and abilities in order to strengthen St. Anne’s as “The Body of Christ.” This is every person’s calling and responsibility from the day of their baptism forward “to serve Christ as his disciple.”

There are numerous volunteers who are trained and lead the ministries mentioned. Our numerous volunteers, paid staff, the Vestry leaders and the clergy work together as a team to provide the spiritual growth and formation you will experience at St. Anne’s.

We encourage you to be our guest in worship. I am looking forward to meeting you personally and assisting you on your spiritual journey.
