Q. Where is St. Anne’s located?
A. We are located at 2110 W 1st St in Ankeny, IA. Visit our Directions page for a map.

Q. What type of church community is St. Anne’s?
A. St. Anne’s is a multi-cultural, multi-generational parish that focuses on the importance of being brought together by God’s love. We help each other and our broader community as a response to our faith.

Q. What kind of worship music?
A. The 8:00 a.m. traditional worship service has piano and the 10:30 a.m. worship service has keyboard, drums and guitars.

Q. May I receive communion?
A. All people are welcome at St. Anne’s table.

Q. What instruction is there for my children on Sunday morning?
A. On Sunday morning St. Anne’s has a program for ages newborn to grade 5. Little Lambs nursery, Godly Play and GP Extreme

Q. Do children attend worship with their parents?
A. Children are always welcome in the worship service. We invite them to participate in their own classes until they join their parents in worship at the announcements (halfway through the service). We believe that families are to worship together.

Q. What is the average age of the St. Anne’s congregation?
A. 30 to 40 years of age.

Q. Priest or Pastor?
A. The clergy are priests or pastors? Pastor Bob or Fr. Bob Kem.

Q. What do I wear?
A. As a church community, St. Anne’s is casual with regard to attire. We strive to make everyone that walks through our door as welcome as possible.

Q. What defines us as a community (five defining attributes)?
A. The community of St, Anne’s is very straight forward. We believe our strengths can be seen in the following ways:

  • We have an easy-to-follow worship service that blends both contemporary and traditional worship music.
  • Our community believes in offering lifelong learning. No matter your age, there are opportunities in outreach and in study to further your faith and deepen fellowship with others.
  • We offer hospitality from the moment you are greeted. Whether you are visiting or a long time member of St. Anne’s we strive to be inclusive and serving to all.

Our community welcomes your gifts. We believe that our members should be able to be involved at every level. We’re excited about what we’re doing in our church, in the community and in the world and we want everyone that wants to participate to be able to do so.
