St.
Anne’s is a young contemporary church family filled with the
Holy Spirit located centrally in Ankeny, IA. As an
Episcopal parish in Northern Polk County,
We enjoy a
diverse membership drawing from central Iowa towns and the
Metro-Des Moines area. St. Anne’s traces its history
in Ankeny to 1978 and in the present church building since 1991.
We strive to
meet our mission of “transforming
lives for Christ” in our daily lives and in our
community.
This website is intended to share our community with you, but
we urge you to meet us in person and get
a feel for who we are as a family.
Service Times
All persons
interested in being our guests are welcome at St. Anne’s. Our
8:00am worship is traditional. There is prayer and silence
to begin our worship. Our 10:30am worship is blended
with contemporary Christian music and familiar hymns with
updated settings and tempos. Dress is always casual.
As an Episcopal Church, part of the world-wide Anglican
Communion, our worship service is often familiar to visitors.
If you have any questions about worship, don’t hesitate to ask
our greeters any questions or for assistance during the
service.
If you just want to drop in on a Sunday to get a feel for
what we are, there is no obligation. We'll be happy to
have been able to worship with you!
St Anne's holds Sunday Services at 8:00am and 10:30 each
week. As well, educational bible Studies and discussions
groups are held on both Sundays and Wednesdays.

scene along with refreshments for the community.
On Shrove Tuesday (the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday), there is
a traditional pancake supper held in the Parish Hall.
These are other great times to come and get a feel for the St
Anne's community.
Each summer, St. Anne's leads a youth mission trip to Pine
Ridge, South Dakota. Throughout the year, St. Anne's
participates in an ecumenical outreach to the homeless youth
in the Des Moines area. These are more opportunities to
