OSL Healing

The Order of St. Luke the Physician (OSL) is a world-wide interdenominational body of Christians who believe that the healing of the body, mind, and spirit is a vital part of the total ministry of Jesus Christ.  (Luke 4 16-21 Jesus call to healing. www.orderofstluke.org)

St. Anne’s is an active member of the OSL ministry. Meetings for the Living Water Chapter are held at our church.  The local Living Water Chapter serves primarily the metro Des Moines area, although members come from as far away as Ames and membership is open to all Christian denominations.

During our monthly meetings, members individually work toward goals embodied in the Order’s “Rule of the Order”. The focus is on prayer and reading books on healing. The agenda includes sharing of experiences, time for reflection and study and anointing and intercessory prayer.

The Order provides a structure and direction that makes spiritual growth possible.  Sharing Magazine is an excellent publication with healing testimonies of people today who are connected with the order. There is regular information on workshops at the local, national and regional level. Speakers from around the nation and the world provide insight into our relationships with Christ and his healing power.
